The Student Report Response, Volunteering, and More

Each year at the Annual Meeting, student midwives delivery their report to the board. Now the board has responded to issues raised in the 2018 report.

Encouraging Student Engagement and Looking Ahead to the ACNM Annual Meeting.

Congratulations to the midwives who graduated in December! Well wishes to you as you take your boards and enter the workforce. ACNM is here to support you in your endeavors, and we are certain that you will make a wonderful addition to the profession!

Over the past few months, I have been working diligently to respond to the requests included in the 2018 Student Report. ACNM leaders have graciously assisted me in this process, and while there is still a lot of work to be done, I am proud to say many of the requests have already been addressed or are currently being worked on. Volunteer Opportunities for Students

,One thing is for sure: Students as well as ACNM leaders want to see more student engagement with ACNM. Annual Meeting – Coming Soon

Preparations for the 64th Annual Meeting are in full swing! I have attended monthly Program Committee meetings since the beginning of my term, and I can say with confidence that the 2019 conference is one you will not want to miss. If you haven’t done so already, register today!

Let me tell you about a couple of student-centered events coming up:

Intro to the Annual Meeting Webinar – Tuesday, April 2^nd at 8pm CST – If you’re wondering what to expect when you attend, what certain events consist of, or how to make the most of your experience, then join us for this event.
Student Happy Hour – Monday, May 20^th – We can’t wait to host this Annual Meeting event again! It’s a casual event where students can gather, chat, and get to know one another. More information to come on this in the near future.
