The 64th ACNM Annual Meeting & Exhibition is taking place in Region II, at National Harbor, MD, which is just across the Potomac River from Washington, DC. The Local Program Committee has planned to have Batalá Washington DC, an all-female Afro-Brazilian percussion group, as the opening act for the meeting! Committee members are also emphasizing self-care activities, so have set up a wellness booth with massage therapists. Stop by and set up an appointment. They are also offering a Nonpartisan space where midwives and other attendees can gather for engaging conversation. They also plan a “show your badge” program for discounts at local restaurants. Stay tuned! Lots of other exciting activities are in the works! We look forward to welcoming midwives from across the nation and the world to the beautiful DMV (translation from our lingo: DC/MD/VA) area!
