In accordance with ACME Policies and Procedures Manual, and the US Department of Education’s requirements, ACME is seeking written third-party comment concerning the qualifications for accreditation of the following listed midwifery programs. These programs will be reviewed for renewal of accreditation ore preaccreditation at the ACME Board of Review (BOR) meetings. Upon request, comments will be considered confidential. Comments will be included with the materials submitted by the program for review by the Board of Review. In all instances, comments must directly relate to the continuing accreditation of a program and the ACME Criteria for Programmatic Accreditation or Preaccreditation. These documents may be found here. In addition, please note that in May 2019 ACME Board of Commissioners published new criteria for accreditation and preaccreditation. Midwifery programs have one year to come into compliance and those programs who are up for review or site visits during this time frame have the option to choose between the previously published criteria and the new criteria.
After May 2020, all programs will need to use the new criteria for the self-evaluation report (SER)and preaccreditation report (PAR).
