Region VI Update (Jul-Dec 2019): Leadership, Advocacy, Education, and Practice

Where do we begin? I find it challenging to write this piece during the COVID journey that we are all currently experiencing. The pandemic has brought so many changes, new experiences, and feelings to the surface for our profession and families we care for. We all are deep in the weeds with increased workloads as we navigate new territories. The resilience and dedication demonstrated by midwives is impressive! Above all, we still find the time to support our profession through leadership, advocacy, education, and practice. Thank you to each of you and all that you do. Moreover, to our affiliates, thank you for continuing the great work each of you is doing to support midwives within your membership.

Highlights from the end of 2019:
